Background:

ITHS was founded in 1988 and from small beginnings it now has an international membership of about 200.

Our main interests are Titanic and Lusitania but also general maritime history.

Particular Irish interests include:

Belfast : Harland and Wolff, where Titanic was built.

Cobh (formerly Queenstown): Titanic's last port of call and final resting place of Lusitania's victims.

Kinsale: where the wreck of Lusitania lies offshore.

The ITHS is a non-profit making society and run entirely by volunteers.

Members' contributions to the journal are welcome, and should be sent to the editor.

Membership is open to all.
Annual subscription €20- Ireland .   £18-U.K.

€25-Mainland Europe   $35- USA     €35-Rest of the world

The members’ journal – WHITE STAR JOURNAL – is produced a number of times per year and carries both historical articles and news & views.
